Moving Water Kayak Course - Aug

For all those who would like to learn or improve their moving water skills in kayaks, there will be a Moving Water course starting in August.

As I am aware of a number of people wanting this course with varying levels of experience, I would like to organise it a little differently to previous courses. 8 sessions in total - 3 at Darley Abbey weir & 5 at Matlock - but you only have coaching for however many you actually need.

For those who are NEW to Moving Water
Thurs 5 August
Thurs 12 August
Thurs 19 August
At Darley Abbey, 6.45 on the water.
Minimum experience - Improvers Kayak / 2* level

For those with some experience - ie can ferry glide, break in and out, and surf a small wave. (These sessions will include those who started at Darley Abbey from session 3 onwards.)

Sun 22 August
Sun 5 September
Sun 19 September
At Matlock, 9.30am Artist's Corner car park.

There will also be 3 coached trips:
Sun 25 July - Severn
Sun 15 August - Wharfe or Ure, subject to rainfall
Sun 26 September - Ure or Wharfe, subject to rainfall

Cost - I'm keeping it simple, so £10 per person, min 2 sessions.

Starting at Matlock this Sunday - Mark and Jessica Beresford, Ian Beresford tbc, Richard Moore, Nicky Toon tbc.

Starting at Darley Abbey next Thursday - Hannah Greenaway, David Bailey, Steven Thorpe, Martin Knowlson, Ian Baraclough, Martin Darke.

If there is anyone else wanting these sessions (or anyone dropping out!), please let me know asap.

sorry for dropping out at such a short notice, but I'm just back from sea kayaking in Scotland and need a break (and get dry again as well), so I won't come to Matlock tomorrow morning.
